Whitefish Review to Publish "The Wild Issue" with Guest Editor Cristina Eisenberg

Whitefish Review has announced that it will publish its first themed issue, to be released June 1, 2012. "The Wild Issue" will celebrate wildness in all its incarnations and be guest edited by scientist and author Cristina Eisenberg.

"We will publish writing and art that explore the untamable and wild in astonishing ways, from wolves howling at the door, to elemental forces raging in the mountains, and wild, creative urges surging deep within hearts and minds," said Eisenberg.

Eisenberg is an ecologist, writer, and editor. The author of The Wolf's Tooth: Keystone Predators, Trophic Cascades, and Biodiversity (Island Press, 2010), she is currently at work on her second book about large carnivore conservation in the American West and recently completed her doctorate in forestry and wildlife at the Oregon State University. Eisenberg also works as the research director for the High Lonesome Ranch in Colorado and lives with her family in a cabin near Bigfork.
